Introduction |
Cabinet Prints were introduced in 1866. They were popular until the early 20th century - more popular than cartes de visite by the 1890s. |
Process |
Cartes de visite were usually albumen photographs. |
Result |

The number of Edinburgh studios grew throughout the 19th century. Cabinet prints have survived from many of these studios. |
