full of photographic incident and interest for the hand camera men who
found themselves busy, especially when the captain, who took quite a
fatherly interest in the proceedings of the cameraists, brought his ship
in close to the Bass Rock, and sounded his steam whistle to fetch the
birds out from its sides.

of the party, partly with a view to quayside studies in the morning, and
partly lest they should shock the susceptibilities of the "unco
