Early photographic studios in Edinburgh |

Throughout the 1840s and 1850s, the number of daguerreotype and calotype studios increased. Many of these were based in Princes Street However, some set up their studios in other parts of Edinburgh. The list below shows the earliest professional photographers that I have found in Edinburgh: The dates below are based on records in the Edinburgh trade directories, so all dates should be regarded as approximate |
