The National Portrait Gallery, London tells me:
- They a=have a carte-de-visite of Hugh Miller
(1802-1856), the geologist and man of letters, which is inscribed on the mount
with:
‘Published by / ANDREW ELLIOT, 15 PRINCES
STREET, EDINBURGH’

version of an image that they already have in the National Portrait Gallery’s
collection, where the mount indicates the picture is by J. G. Tunny.
