Thank you to Gus Coutts for allowing me to reproduce this photograph that he took in Summer 2007 from Blackford Hill, looking to the north towards Edinburgh Castle (on Castle Hill, centre-left).

The Firth of Forth (about five miles wide at this point) and the Lomond Hilla of Fife can be seen in the background of this photo.
