This view looks to the NE, across the districts of Sciennes, Mayfield and Newington, towards Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park.

The Firth of Forth can be seen in the background on both sides of the photo.  The coast of East Lothian is just visible on the right-hand side of the photo
