This view looks to the NE, across the districts of Sciennes, Mayfield and Newington, towards Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park.

The low, light building, on the left-hand side of the photo, almost below the summit of Arthur's Seat, is the Royal Commonwealth Swimming Pool.
