Postcards

School Sports Teams

ER Yerbury produced some of their photos as postcards.  Those I have seen are probably still in copyright, so I've not been able to reproduce them here.

However, thank you to Richard Torrance, for telling me about them.  Richard wrote:

"I recently acquired 3 photos.  They are Kodak- produced postcards with a purple Yerbury & Son back stamp from their Morningside Road studio."

The photos appear to be of school sports teams, hockey, tennis and lacrosse.

Richard added: 

"On the reverse of the photos, there is a number followed by St. G. which I assume is St George's.  Two girls are common to all of them. Unfortunately all the badges are to small to read. There is no real indication of age, but they look to be post-WW2."

Theatrical Photo

Here is a photograph of Helen Henderson, a member of an Edinburgh theatrical group.  The photo was taken around 1929.

I have not seen the original photo, but I believe that it may be about postcard size:
