The Yerbury
Family
London, USA, Edinburgh
"The parents of ER YERBURY, the photographer, were
Edward Reuben YERBURY (possibly born c.1817, Edinburgh) and Eleanor
LIEF (born c.1821) (my connection). They married on 21-Sep-1842 at
St James, Clerkenwell, London.
They were
living at the same address as Eleanor's family in Shoreditch, London
for the 1841 census, but I have not found them in any later
censuses. It appears that the family went to the USA.
At the
1901 census, Eleanor D YERBURY (56, retired photographer, born at
London) and Elizabeth L. YERBURY (48, teacher, born in USA) are
sisters living at Tunbridge Wells, Kent; they are the two from the
1881 census at Panmure Place, Edinburgh. They are both younger
sisters of Edward Yerbury (b.1843)
Also Emma
"Darnigs" YERBURY's second name is Darnigo, after her
great-great-great-grandmother Darnigo PINNIGER. This is also
Eleanor's
second name.
