This  photograph is of King Edward and Queen Alexandra passing through Abbeyhill from Holyrood.  I expect that this photo would have been taken during their Royal Visit to Edinburgh in 1903, close to the start of Edward's reign.

The photographer is not known, but the photo comes from the family collection of Yvonne Cain, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, whose great grandfather, W Alexander, was Head Gardener at Holyrood.
