Photographic
Notes were published
in
Jersey by
Messrs Sutton & Blanquart-Everard THEN
in London. They were published:
-
Monthly:
Jan 1856 to Aug 1856.
-
Fortnightly:
Sep 1856 to Dec 1867.
Thomas
Sutton wrote in 1856:
“Owing
to the judicious change which it appears we have made from a
monthly to a fortnightly publication of this Journal, our
circulation has received a sudden increase for which we were not
prepared, and consequently Nos. 3 and 11 are out of print and Nos.
4 and 12 nearly so.”
[PN:
Vol.1, No 13 - 15 Oct
1856]
Thomas
Sutton continued his attempts to persuade the photographic societies to
use his journal. He wrote:
“We
beg to remind Photographic Societies now forming in different
parts of the United Kingdom of our readiness to report their
proceedings, &c.”
He
also advertised his products, available from153 Fleet Street, in
Photographic Notes:
“20
oz, iodized Positive Collodion - 15s, bottle included"
