Edinburgh
Photographic Society was established in 1861. The society still
exists. EPS
Proceedings were reported in the photographic journals until 1926.
From 1927 onwards, EPS news was reported, but these reports did not
include transcripts of the society's meetings. The journals that
reported EPS were:
-
1861-1879: British
Journal of Photography
(under that title and earlier
titles). The journal continued to report EPS Meetings in later years -
certainly into the 1880s.
-
1880-1926: Transactions
of the Edinburgh Photographic Society
-
1927-1950:
The
Edinburgh Journal
published
news of EPS, but did not include transcripts of lectures given to
EPS.
-
1927-1950: The
EPS Bulletin
published
news of EPS, but did not include transcripts of lectures given to
EPS.
