Exhibition Opening
R Berry, EPS President, in opening the exhibition said that during the
Society's 54 year history, saying
Many wonderful advances had been
made in the science of photography which had brought it to a high state of
perfection.
He referred to two particular
advances:
- One of these advances was the
introduction of what was known as colour photography, a discovery which
had added greatly to the artistic value of the art.
- The second startling development
- a most revolutionary one - was the invention of moving
pictures, which had given rise to the world-wide cinematographic craze in
which many millions were invested yearly. |
