Entry to the EPS International Exhibition 2006 also includes entry to an exhibition of 60 prints from the Visual Art Group of the Royal Photographic Society, currently on show in the basement of the same premises, at 68 Great King Street.

Entries

The number of prints received for the EPS International Exhibition has increased each year since 1997.  For the 2006 exhibition, 3,477 prints were received, comprising:

   -  1,467 mono prints
   -  2,010 colour prints
   -   from 53 countries

From this entry, 217 prints (6.24%) were selected be hung in the exhibition.  They were:

   -     84 mono prints
   -   133 colour prints.

FIAP Gold Medals

Three FIAP Gold Medals were awarded, one by each of the Selectors:

Leigh Preston  awarded a FIAP Gold Medal to Simon Allen EFIAP MPAGB, Scotland,  for the print entitled Light and Shade

Margaret Salisbury awarded a FIAP Gold Medal to Dena Kennedy, Scotland for the print entitled The Final Furlong

Rikki O'Neill awarded a FIAP Gold Medal to to John Horne ARPS, England for the print entitled Paper Flame #2

FIAP Ribbons

FIAP Ribbons were awarded to:

Bob Moore Hon FRPS Hon PAGB, England  for his print entitled Elderly Couple - Cuba

Denis Duclos, England  for Kilometre 32

Edinburgh Medal

The Edinburgh Medal for the best print from an EPS Member was awarded to Sandy Cleland FRPS AFIAP for his print entitled Drought Amboseli 2006
