1942 Open Exhibition

This, the 80^th  Open Annual Exhibition was on display at eps premises, 16 Royal Terrace, from 28 March until 11 April 1942 - admission FREE,  catalogue 6d.

The exhibition received:

-   Portraiture & Life  -    994 entries)

-   Landscape & General (106 entries)

-   Monochrome Lantern Slides (7 sets)

-   Natural Colour Lantern Slides (20 sets)

From these there were selected for exhibition,  200 prints, 12 monochrome lantern slides and 63 natural colour lantern slides  from 153 Artists - 121 from England and 32 from Scotland.

EPS reported: 

"Owing to the present conditions [war], no awards were made".
