Medals

The medal on the front of the catalogue above is one that was first awarded at the EPS Exhibition in 1902.  The original die for this medal was found recently, so EPS decided to make three new gold  medals from the die to celebrate this being the 150th exhibition.

For recent exhibitions, six gold medals have been awarded each year, three each from:

-  FIAP:     Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique

-  RPS:     The Royal Photographic Society

However, for the 2012 Exhibition, 15 gold medals have been awarded, three each from:

-  FIAP:     Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique

-  RPS:     The Royal Photographic Society

-  PAGB:  Photographic Alliance of Great Britain

-  SPF:     Scottish Photographic Federation

-  EPS      Edinburgh Photographic Society

Commemorative Bronze models with the same design as the 1902 Medal  will also  be awarded to every photographer who has had one or more prints accepted for the 2012 exhibition.

Venue

The 2012 Exhibition of Photography will be on display at 68 Great King Street.  This has been the venue for the exhibition each year since 1996.
