Exhibition Judges
Transactions
of EPS reported:
"It is annually a matter of regret
that better accommodation to house the collection than the
Society's Hall, which has been somewhat aptly termed the Calton
tunnel, cannot be procured except at ruinous cost."
The EPS Transactions reported that
approaches had been made in 1903 to use the Royal Scottish
Academy Rooms, but the future administration of these galleries
was now uncertain so no further application had been made.

The Art Union Scheme
The Art Union
scheme, introduced for the first time in 1905 was another success
this year. The Society's donation and the sale of tickets
amounted together to £24 8s 6d . (£24 1s 6d in
1905).
This sum was allocated used to provide 29 prizes, the winners
being required to purchase pictures from amongst those exhibited.
A full list of names and addresses of the winners appeared in
Transactions of the EPS.
